Started the company in October 2007 as a two partner operation.  Filed corporate paperwork with federal and local governments.  Built website and set up accounting software.  Researched competition for purchasing and selling advantages.  Ordered office equipment, shipping and display supplies.  Created graphics and designs for clothing.

April 2004 to 2007 – KIDK-TV, Idaho Falls, ID

6 & 10pm Producer.  Organizing live, field, newsroom, studio and bureau hits plus live feeds.  Monitor scanner for breaking news and assign reporter.  Write, edit and work with graphics department.  Previously: Weekend Producer, Weather Anchor & Reporter: Live, field, newsroom, bureau and studio hits. One-man-band.  Shoot/edit, Avid, Mini DVC, Digital and Beta. I worked the crime/court beat, investigative stories and was the designated Idaho National Laboratory (INL) reporter.  Web posting.

 

Feb 2003 to April 2004 — WSVN-TV, Miami, FL

Assisted producers in the production of shows and wrote news scripts.  Pulled file video when needed.  Trained with producers to learn the behind the scenes work.  Trained with tape editors on linear editing and in-house voice tracking.  I also shadowed our reporters in the field for training purposes on my own time.

Promotions, television appearances, press interviews and internet promotions.

 

December 2002 – February 2003 — 1340 WPBR AM Radio, West Palm Beach, FL

Sales Director & Talk Show Host fill-in for the Dick Farrel Show.  Commercial Production, writing, recording and mixing.  Sales Coordinator.   **Temporary position while seeking employment in television news.**

 

February 1999 – 2003     Comley Painting, Deerfield Beach, FL

Office Manager

AP and AR work.  Designed various advertising materials and correspondence and prepared bulk mailings.  Coordinated new and existing customer appointments to field crews.  Troubleshooting for commonly used software.  

 

April 1998 - February 1999     WCS, Boca Raton, FL

Office Manager – assistant to Vice President, Doug Curtis

Assisted Vice President in all office duties.  Made all travel arrangements for the company CFO based in Minneapolis. Most AP and AR work.  Public Relations.  Customized ACT! Database for the company’s various consulting and marketing projects.  Set up online synchronization with outside offices.  Developed custom MS Outlook forms and set up Outlook to synchronize with outside offices via the Internet using Net Folders.  Assisted in the data transfer from customized Symantec ACT! Software to custom MS Outlook fields through MS Access.  Assisted our computer consultant in implementing and maintaining upgrade to MS Exchange Server for internal external access and external modem access.  Trained staff in various software and set up email.

 

October 1997 – April 1998     Rosebud Productions/Barry Financial Group, Boca Raton, FL

Accounts Payable.  Created press kits for the production of the Barry Financial Show.  Mass mailings and press releases.  Mail merges and data manipulation.  Customized ACT! 4.0 database for the marketing division.  Assisted MIS department in CDS (Client Data Systems) training and other software for the staff.

 

1994 – 1997  ADT Security Services, Deerfield Beach, FL

1996 – 1997

Supervisor – ADT Commercial Permitting Department

Developed and organized the department to standards necessary for optimum effectiveness.  Saved the company unknown amounts of revenue by customizing ACT! Database for time sensitive installation permits.  Reviewed and revised fire alarm plans according to NFPA codes.  Rebuilt a healthy relationship within of our district of seven South Florida Counties.  Hired and trained a full staff.

1995 – 1996    ADT Security Services, Deerfield Beach, FL

ADT Data Enhancement Coordinator  

Organized and completed a corporate project, which was primarily intended to update a new customer database in MAS, our monitoring system.  Input all data for fire alarm equipment, inspection schedules and system types.

1994 – 1995 ADT Security Services, Deerfield Beach, FL

ADT Service Coordinator

Scheduled and routed service technicians through MAS system for Southeast Region of Florida.  Fulfilled Customer Service requests for special appointments and emergencies. Assisted Technicians and conducted monitoring tests from location site to home office.
